OSWALD CUP RESULTS

On Sunday, 15th June, the annual Oswald Cup was held at Southerness Golf Club. This prestigious trophy, donated by Major Oswald in 1948, was presented to the club in 1959 upon its establishment. The Oswald Cup has consistently garnered strong support over the years, with this year being no exception. Over 170 players participated, representing clubs from Southern Wales  to the Highlands.

Participants were welcomed to an excellently prepared course thanks to Neil and his team and received a warm reception in the shop from Andrew and his team. As always, Nikki and her staff were available to provide refreshments for the players before and after their rounds.

The weather, very benign for Southerness, featured a gentel west wind ranging from 3-10 mph. With clear blue skies and sunshine this reflected in the scoring.

Southenress Golf Club extends its gratitude to all staff for their dedication leading up to and on the day of the competition. We also express our appreciation to all the competitors who participated and look forward to hosting you again at Southerness in the near future.
